NY 6-Week Course | Advanced Sewing for Adults

In the Mood U 6-Week Advanced Fashion Illustration Course you will review the concepts and techniques you learned in the Beginner Illustration Course, and continue building your foundation with new techniques and skills. This course will teach you how to beautifully render and achieve exquisite drawings of your designs with the use of markers and colored pencils.

We will also look in depth at a range of textiles, the way they drape on the body and how to effectively illustrate these textiles to convey your ideas. By the end of 6 weeks you will have a complete fashion presentation; including several illustrations and a mood board that express your unique style and creative vision.

You can do this! After completing our beginner and intermediate sewing courses, you're now ready for the Mood U Advanced Sewing Course. The advanced level is designed to teach you how to refine the skills you learned in your beginner and intermediate classes.

Students will continue to learn about pattern layout, fabric cutting, garment construction, and advanced finishing techniques for garment construction. Everything from taking advanced measurements, constructing fully lined garments, hand-sewn buttonholes, couture techniques and more! This class is a perfect opportunity for you to realise your sewing dreams at a higher level and enjoy the creative process of making clothes.

  • 6 weeks of hands-on professional sewing instruction taught by our team of experts
  • 1 computerized sewing machine assigned to each student every class for 6 weeks
  • 1 commercial pattern from selection of pre-approved advanced level patterns (see in-store display)
