Fabric School 101
Have you ever walked into a fabric store and felt totally overwhelmed? Benjamin Mach – Creative Director of Mood U Sewing School and two-time Project Runway designer/contestant – can help.
In this comprehensive 3hr seminar, Benjamin takes you on a figurative walk through the aisles of Mood Fabrics in New York City, explaining the difference between fibers and fabrics, wovens and knits, and everything in between. A range of fibers are discussed, including cotton, linen, wool, silk, synthetics, and specialty fabrics. Once you have a grip on the composition of fabric, you’ll learn how fabric drapes on the body so you can select the perfect fabric for your project.
Using the Mood Fabrics Premium Swatch Kit, Benjamin will talk you through all of the textiles included in the kit. There will be extensive Q&A time and activities, including some fun exploration that takes you into the store itself.
Included with your ticket purchase is the Mood Fabrics Premium Swatch Kit (retail value $100) and all other handouts and materials required for the class.
This is a really great class for all ages. Sign up with friends & family!
