BEGINNER DRAPING | 1-DAY INTENSIVE
BEGINNER DRAPING | 1-DAY INTENSIVE WORKSHOP
Have you always wanted to know how to create your own patterns that fit perfectly? Fashion designers often use a process called “draping” to create perfectly fitted patterns on the dress form. They drape a muslin fabric over a dress form and pin it into place, gently manipulating the fabric around the form. Once the fabric is draped, the key measurements and fit lines are marked to record the basic pattern shape.
Join us for this 1-day intensive workshop based on the original 6-week Beginner Draping Course.
You will learn the basic rules for draping on a dress form and create a pattern for a skirt, bodice and sheath dress. We will also demonstrate how you can transfer your muslin pattern onto paper to create a pattern that can be used time and time again.
Course Fee includes:
1 full day of hands-on draping instruction by fashion designer Benjamin Mach
1 dress form assigned to each student to use at Mood U

Students will also need a Mood U Draping Kit, which can be purchased in-store for approximately $106.00+tax, or you may purchase required supplies individually as needed.
